The Leather & Making
Every upper is cut by hand against the grain's natural lines. Every last is carved from wood and shaped to a specific width fitting. Every welt seam is stitched — not glued — so the sole can be replaced when it wears, not the shoe. From hide to finished pair, a single shoe passes through 34 individual steps and the hands of at least six artisans before it reaches your door.
This is not manufacturing. This is making.
The Care Instructions
Once a month, finish with a matching cream polish and a horsehair brush. Never wax on top of unconditioned leather, and never heat-dry a wet shoe. If they get caught in the rain, stuff them with newspaper, let them dry naturally at room temperature, and condition once fully dry.
Store them in the dust bag, shoe trees in, away from direct sunlight. Leather needs air. It was never meant for plastic.
Treat them well and they will outlive the trend that made you buy them.
